🌟 Pioneering Independence at the Supported Living Housing Network Conference.
On 11th September, our Operational Director, Thomas Naughton, and Registered Manager, Josh Webber, were proud to represent Pioneering Independence at the Supported Living Housing Network Conference in Birmingham.
We were delighted to be invited by Lisa Brown to take part in a collaborative presentation alongside key partners involved in the development and delivery of a specialist supported living project, bringing together expertise from housing development, registered housing provision, local authority commissioning, and care and support services.
Thomas and Josh delivered a 12-minute presentation exploring the journey from concept to reality — sharing the strategic planning, partnership working and operational delivery involved in developing the project, as well as the challenges, opportunities and, most importantly, the positive outcomes being achieved for the people we support.
The conference was also a fantastic opportunity to meet and connect with professionals from across the supported housing and social care sectors, including supported living providers, property developers and investors, Registered Housing Providers, commissioners and strategic housing professionals. We enjoyed sharing ideas, discussing the challenges facing our sector, learning about emerging developments and exploring opportunities for future collaboration.
For us, the day reinforced something we strongly believe in at Pioneering Independence: great supported living is about more than providing a service — it is about creating the right partnerships, homes and support to enable people to live with greater independence, choice and inclusion within their communities. ❤️A huge thank you to Lisa Brown, Catherine Bennett and Cheryl Clark for inviting us to be part of such a valuable event and for giving us the opportunity to share our experiences. It was a fantastic day of learning, networking, collaboration and showcasing what can be achieved when organisations work together with a shared vision.
