Our policies & commitments

Privacy & governance.

We hold sensitive information about the people we support and the people who work for us. Here is how we look after it, and how the organisation is run.

Our commitment

Your information, handled properly.

We only collect the information we genuinely need, we keep it for only as long as we need it, and we never sell it or share it with anyone who doesn't have a lawful reason to see it.

Care records are held in Carerealm, our care-management system, with access limited to the staff directly involved in someone's support. Staff records are held in our HR system on the same basis. Everyone who handles personal data completes data-protection training.

If you want to know what information we hold about you, ask — that's your right, and we'll answer.

How we're run

Clear lines of accountability.

Good governance is mostly knowing who is responsible for what, and being able to show it.

01

Registered

Regulated by the CQC.

Pioneering Independence is registered with the Care Quality Commission, with a named Registered Manager accountable for the quality and safety of our services.

02

Accountable

A named person for every duty.

Safeguarding, data protection, medication and health & safety each have a named lead — so nothing sits in a gap between roles.

03

Open

Records you can ask to see.

The people we support, and their families where appropriate, can ask to see their records and challenge anything they think is wrong.
